This is the memorial urn of Mr. Teh Cheng Lai. He was born on 13 January 1911 and passed away on 8 January 1995. He was 84 years old. From the urn, you could tell that his second son, Tien Hai, rested in peace before him. Another mystery remains, the wife was never mentioned. The spectacles (or glasses) tells us that it is one of the most important objects in Mr. Teh's life. He wanted to bring it with him to the other world fearing that he could not see the journey. In the Chinese culture, the dying usually request for certain things to bring with him.
