A Dying Lifestyle

As we move into the wireless world, the payphone might become obsolete and an alien to the coming generation. This image intends to tell us not to forget the past that is beautiful.

Observe and Experience

Many of us are impressed with other cultures. We read, we research, and we experience other cultures at some point of life. Here is a guy who is observing his own culture. At the background is a Caucasian lady carrying her child experiencing other culture.

Exit From Life

Tired of living, he wanted to exit from life. He picked up a stool, stepped on it. His hand grabbed tightly to the railing. He flew like a bird but without wings. Free at last. I wanted to capture what he saw when he looked down.

Uninvited

This street beggar was sleeping soundly when I stumbled upon him. I tip-toed slowly. I didn't want to wake him up. I got quite close and I knelt down. I bent my body. He turned, opened his eyes and stared at me the moment I snapped! I jumped to my feet and quickly walked away. I heard him growling a bit.

Come Out and Play

This was taken at the Kek Lok Si temple. I wanted a school of fish to swim out of the frame. In order to create this "illusion", I threw some bread into the pond. The fish swam really fast, almost too fast for my lens as I was not prepared at all. I took many shots and this line formation was the best!

Shifting of Emotion

The businesswoman shows pity by allowing the old female street beggar to seek shelter from the blistering sun. However, there was a shift in emotion while observing the beggar counting money in her tin. I feel a sense of competition and jealousy because business was poor for her on that particular day.

The Yellow Arches

I was up in the early morning with a mission - yellow! I went around town looking for this colour and was a bit disappointed with all the yellow objects that I found. I went to the market in town to eat some breakfast. After taking some snapshots of the market, as I turned to my left I saw this building. It was brand new but vacant! A "golden" treasure it is!

Is This Earth?

Sometimes, getting lost could be the best thing for photographers. My friend and I drove around Penang island looking for the jetty that we saw in Flickr. The GPS was not helping much. We parked by the road side and walked down a path. We came to this amazing place. The beach and seaside were absolutely beautiful. It was like travelling to a place made by angels for humans. I'm not sure if we could find the place again.

This lady was telling a story about a boy who befriended the wrong crowd and lost all his savings in a casino. The moral of the story is to follow Christian's teaching.
