The railing symbolises boundary, the shadow symbolises the dark side, and the light symbolises the bright side. It's a choice between doing the right thing and the wrong thing.

Exit From Life
Tired of living, he wanted to exit from life. He picked up a stool, stepped on it. His hand grabbed tightly to the railing. He flew like a bird but without wings. Free at last. I wanted to capture what he saw when he looked down.
