Big Prayer

Yeng Keng Hotel - Heritage Boutique Hotel

A House With Characters

The grain and halo around the building were done on purpose. I wanted to give the structure a glow. This building is the Gerakan Party headquarter in Penang, Malaysia. I love the architecture so much.

A Bronze Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) (99.08 feet tall)

The bronze Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) is 30.2 metre (99.08) tall and is found at the Kek Lok Si (Cantonese) Buddhist Temple which means Temple of Nirvana. Kek Lok Si is one of the largest and best known temple in Malaysia. The temple was first built in 1893 but construction is still on going up until now. Kek Lok Si began extension with an addition of a huge and tall Guanyin statue which was completed in 2002. The work is now to construct eight pillars around Guanyin to support a roof over the statue! The all bronze Guanyin statue is flanked by a few tall structure of Luohan (Guards) statues.

The Eye

The photo is titled, "The Eye" because it looks like an eye. This is one of the chandeliers at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Penang, Malaysia. Outlook

Teluk Bahang Dam (translated as "Heat Bay Dam") is the largest dam on Penang Island, Malaysia. It was built to provide an alternative source of water supply to the Ayer Itam Dam and the Botanic Gardens Waterfall. It is located on the southern part of Teluk Bahang. From its crest, one can enjoy a scenic view of the northern coast of Penang Island. The Teluk Bahang Dam was completed in 1999. The dam has a height of 58.5 meters and a length of 685 meters. The crest is 12 meters thick, allowing for a roadway to be built along it. The Teluk Bahang Dam is often used as the venue for international dragon boat races.
