The Logan Memorial was erected in memory of James Richardson Logan who championed the rights of the non-Europeans in Penang. Logan and his elder brother Abraham came to Penang, and began a law practise. Logan was a lawyer who fought for the rights of locals, and was an advocate for freedom of speech. This statue was erected with funds from the public of Straits Settlement in his honour. I'm a self-trained photographer based in Penang, Malaysia who shoots with passion. Please contact me if you want to know more about my photos. Thank you!
