I'm Mad About Architecture

A Lonely Swing

Come In & Play

Despark Automobile College. This building has been turned into a business premise.

I love this one. It has so much space and such a big garden!

The palace of the Sultan of Kedah. Penang does not have a Sultan but a Governor.

This small building cannot be demolished because one of the brothers did not want to sell his shares in the house and land. The late father had one condition: all children have to agree to sell or the building stays forever. Due to this, the developer had to build around this tiny structure.

Another great building turned into a business premise. I believe it's a restaurant now.

Many of the above buildings are "abandoned" in the sense that they're being looked after by caretaker. New generations cannot afford to maintain the house full time and they rather not live together. We call them the "I" generation.
